This month I have to brag a little bit about our doctor. He has worked SO hard to make his dream a reality with opening a combination of a compassionate AND highly skilled Oral Surgery practice. Our team at Murphy OMS all know that Dr. Murphy is an excellent surgeon and we are so lucky to have him here in Northern Colorado!

I know that all of us sometimes wonder about our doctors’ educational background. How often do you know your surgeons’ credentials? I know we all think about it, but don’t necessarily have the time to look into it or remember to ask. So, I’d like to list a few of Dr. Murphy’s credentials for you! First of all, he has a dual degree. He has a Doctorate in General Dentistry specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Medical Degree. He has also been to Vietnam and Guatemala for surgical mission trips and worked with children with cleft palates.

He received his Medical Degree and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery degree from The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. In fact, Medscape US News Ranks The Mayo Clinic in Minnesota one of the “Top 10 Best Schools of Medicine”, as well as “A Standout Medical School by Specialty AND Best in Research”!
